Abia Assembly Clerk To Return 6 Vehicles Received From Previous Administration

The Judicial Panel of Enquiry set up by Governor Alex Otti of Abia State to probe the administration of his predecessor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has directed the state Assembly Clerk, John Pedro Irokansi to return over 6 Vehicles he collected from Previous, ABN TV reports.

He was said to have received the six vehicles from the immediate-past administration in the state where he also served as Clerk to the Assembly.

According to the Panel, the Clerk who is a Civil Servant, was not supposed to be collecting same Vehicles bought for Elected Abia State House of Assembly Members.

Recall that Otti had on June 27, inaugurated the Judicial Panel of Enquiry on the Recovery of Government Properties, Funds and Related Matters.

The Governor had also during his inaugural speech promised to recover every money and property of the state stolen by public office holders.

In her speech at the inaugural sitting of the Panel, the Chairman, Justice Florence Duruoha-Igwe (rtd), vowed that the panel would in strict adherence to its terms of reference, go after proven looters.
