Abia APGA Leadership Crisis: Ehiemere, Ukaegbu Fight Dirty At Peace Accord Signing (Photos, Video)

The prolonged crisis rocking the Abia State chapter of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA on Tuesday took a fresh turn as the two figures who lay claim to the chairmanship of the party, Chief Nnanna Ukaegbu and Rev Augustine Ehiemere exchange verbal punches at a peace accord meeting in Umuahia, ABN TV reports.

The peace accord is at the instance of the Commissioner of Police in Abia state, CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala.

Trouble started when the organisers of the event invited the chairman of APGA to come and endorse the Peace Accord which is organised among all the 28 registered political parties in the state ahead of the 2023 general elections.

While Ukaegbu said he has the ruling of the Supreme Court affirming him as the chairman, Ehiemere said he remains in office as has not exhausted his tenure.

The environment became rowdy but was brought under control by the intervention of security agents at the event.
