Umuahia North Local Government Headquarters on Wednesday, 3rd November, 2023 came alive with politics following the inauguration of the Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation 2023 , Umuahia -North LGA .

The youth ambassador of the Prof Uche Ikonne Campaign Organisation and former governorship aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) while addressing the mammoth gathering of youths and party followers, said Abia State has a future with Prof Ikonne.

Mayor Igbokwe who spoke glowingly about the PDP governorship candidate for Abia State, urged the people of Abia to vote for Prof Ikonne in the forthcoming General Election because he represents participatory governance.

The United Nation Mayor of Peace said he decided to support Prof Ikonne after an objective assessment of all the gubernatorial candidates. According to him, he discovered that the eminent academic possess a better pedigree that puts him well above the rest in terms of competence and vision.

The youth ambassador insists that he would support Prof Ikonne to win the election, because he is a man who is genuinely committed to the progress and prosperity of Abia State.

“So, I can assure us that Prof Ikonne has not negotiated with anybody, and no one is going to teleguide him. He means well for Abia State and that’s why I’m behind him, and I want us to do the same for the good of our state“, Igbokwe adds.

While inaugurating the Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation, an elated Prof Ikonne expressed his gratitude to the good people of Umuahia North for coming out en masse to receive him, and promised never to fail when elected as governor, reiterating his promise to run a participatory government where everyone will be involved in the decision making process in his administration .

The Professor of Optometry lauded Mayor Lucky Igbokwe for being a good role model to the youths, adding that “Don Lulu will work with me to make Abia great”. He maintained that Mayor Igbokwe is a global figure and energetic young man whose presence brings relief to the youths.

He thanked the Umuahia North Stakeholders and asked them to see him as one of them because he built his residential house in Ndume -Ibeku, Umuahia and lives with them.

He called on the people to vote for all the PDP House of Assembly candidates because they are the ones who are going to work with him because God has spoken that he will be governor.
