Abia 2023: My Cabinet Will Be Made Up Of 50 Percent Of Women, Udensi Assures, Says People In Govt Lack Fear Of God (Photos, Video)

A leading APGA governorship aspirant in Abia, Sir Chikwe Udensi has assured that if elected as the governor of Abia State in 2023, his cabinet members will constitute 50 percent of women, calling for their support in his governorship aspiration.

The Interpol Systems Consultant also expressed displeasure with the decision of National Assembly to reject five gender bills last month, including one seeking 35% affirmative action for women.

Speaking on Thursday in Aba at the flag off of skills acquisition programme for Abia women organised by Rotary Club Of Abuja Down Town District 9125 and Rotary Club of Umungazi, Rotary Club of Arochukwu Down Town District 91a, In conjunction with BANA, Build A New Abia by Sir Chikwe Udensi Foundation, Sir Udensi while stating that 35% representation is not enough for women said 50% is fairer.

He said women make so much contributions in nation building, noting that women bring a lot of results when given positions of authority.

While naming the likes of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as a clear indication that women work, he urged the participants to help to bring on board a visionary government that will give them a voice.

He alleged that people in government in Abia State lack fear of God, accusing them of siphoning public treasury to the detriment of the people.

Anyone who says Abia is not reach is not saying the truth. In Anambra, Peter Obi ruled for eight years and in this eight years, he did not borrow one kobo.

“He built hospitals, roads, paid pensions, gratuities, salaries and still handed over to his successor N75bn.

“It’s not about availability of the money but the use of the money. From what he heard from former Commissioner for Finance, Obinna Oriaku our resources are being frittered away.

“On entertainment alone in Government House, a whopping N3bn is budgeted. Public resources are being shared among those in power. All these will come to an end in 2023” he said.

He therefore admonished the participants to get their voters card and vote him as their next governor in Abia.

In her remarks, the CME Rotary Club of Abuja Downtown District 9125, Mrs. Ebere Mercy Udensi said Build A New Abia, BANA a charity organisation of Sir Chikwe Udensi is using the opportunity of skills acquisition to also distribute relief materials and funds to support small scale business owners boost their capital base.

The participants were tutored on soap, detol, and cream making in addition to food items and cash support.
