Minority Leader of Abia state House of Assembly and member representing Bende North constituency, Hon Chijoke Chukwu has disagreed with his colleague from Isialangwa North, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe for canvassing that the next governor should come from his local government.
In a chat with ABN TV , Hon. Chukwu said his Isialangwa North colleague is a man of double standard.
According to the lawmaker, Onwusibe not constant and stable with his political alignments, accusing him of canvassing for a governor of Umunne Ato extraction and at the same time drumming support for a member of the Assembly to take over from Ikpeazu in 2023.
He said Onwusibe is wearing the cloak of someone who wants to introduce confusion into the state’s political atmosphere, insisting that Abia North will produce the next governor of the state.
He said, “Submission made by Hon. Ginger Onwusibe is so saddening, selfish and he’s just looking for cheap popularity.
“He’s my colleague. I know where he stands in all political positions. What he canvasses in the morning is not what he canvasses in the evening.
“In the morning, he is canvassing for a governor of Umunne Ato extraction. In the evening he is consulting his colleagues House of Assembly members that we should insist for one of us in the House of Assembly to be made governor”.
