The governorship candidate of Action People’s Party, APP in Abia State, Hon. Mascot Uzor Kalu has said the House of Assembly candidates of APC are not listed as respondents in his suit seeking to disqualify Uche Ogah and High Chief Ikechi Emenike as guber flagbearer(s) of APC in the 2023 general elections.
In a statement on Monday by his media aide, Prince Udochukwu Eme, he urged the House of Assembly candidates of APC to go about their campaigns without fear of harassment.
He was responding to a social media publication listing APC Abia Assembly candidates as respondents in the suit.
He said, “Let me clear the air that the APC Abia State House of Assembly is not listed in the suit. Furthermore, as the leader of the party in Abia, he has instructed our great party to direct the legal team to remove all or any relief as it relates to the APC House of Assembly, as they are not listed in the suit. They have assured compliance.
“Please, APC House of Assembly candidates should focus on their election. Our decision to go to court is based on the law, not petty political games,” the statement read in part.
