A 7-year-old boy, Ihechukwu Delight Adiele, resident in Mgbarakuma, Ubakala in Umuahia South local government area of Abia State is seeking assistance to undergo surgery from a huge keloid in his abdominal area.
The growth which started as a result of fuel explosion is said to have progressed in the past one year since the incident took place.
His plight was brought to public attention by a good Samarithan and anti-cult campaigner, Emmanuel Uche Obasi during one of his campaigns in young Mr. Adiele’s school, Mgbarakuma Community Primary School, Mgbarakuma Ubakala, Umuahia.
Obasi had taken Mr. Adiele to Federal Medical Centre in Umuahia for treatment.
He was however referred to National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu for plastic surgery.
Adiele’s grandmother, Mrs. Comfort Adiele who she lives with has however not been able to raise resources to take him to National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu for proper medical care as recommended by FMC Umuahia.
In addition to the pain he is passing through, young Adiele told ABN TV that he is usually restless whenever he experiences scratch from the keloid.
While the cost of his medical bill cannot be ascertained, the young Adiele is calling on well meaning Nigerians, Abians and kindhearted individuals to come to his aid as the keloid increases in size by the day.
