The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has felicitated with the member representing Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Hon Darlington Nwokocha as he marks 53rd birthday, commending him for attracting people-oriented projects and empowering his constituents.
The Speaker on Friday graced an occasion to mark the 53rd birthday of the federal lawmaker which took place at Umungalagu Primary/Mbato Secondary School, Nvosi IsialaNgwa South LGA.
Speaking at the event which also featured commissioning of projects completed by Hon Nwokocha, the Speaker extolled the celebrant for always identifying with his people through quality representation and massive empowerment.
He said Hon Darlington Nwokocha has taken legislative representation to a new height by not only concentrating on the making of laws but also attracting and executing laudable projects for the immediate benefit of the people.
The Speaker also commended Hon Darlington Nwokocha for his loyal and unflinching commitment to friendship and good causes, describing him as a true party man. He, therefore, charged him to continue with his giant strides in his constituency.
Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia Central at the National Assembly, H.E. Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji CON, who is also the Senate Committee Chairman on Privatization, earlier commissioned a new Legislative Block constructed by Hon Darlington Nwokocha and named after him. He also commended the celebrant for the numerous projects he has initiated and completed, describing him as a seasoned lawmaker who rose through the ranks because of his loyalty, zeal for service, and commitment to the people.
Senator Orji who further said that politics is simply all about giving back to the people, advised Hon Nwokocha not to relent in delivering quality representation to his constituents.
