One Mr. Akachi Isiocha of Umuezu Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State has been remanded at the Afara Correctional center, Umuahia for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl.
He committed the crime allegedly with the connivance of his friend identified as, Chisom Anyanwu currently at large
When Mr. Isiocha appeared in court, he pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
Mr Marvelous Ochiegbu, the Abia State Coordinator of Behind Bars Human Rights Foundation who perfected the arrest of the accused stated that the young girl was severally defiled by the perpetrators.
The accused person was ordered to be remanded in prison custody while investigations continue.
