The Ghanaian police have arrested a 28-year-old woman, Abigail Agbubia, for allegedly poisoning her two children due to her husband’s failure to provide for the family.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred in Manhean, a suburb of Tema New Town in the Tema Region of Ghana. Police authorities revealed that the children, a boy aged two and a girl just eight months old, were killed with rat poison on the night of Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

The case, which came to light following a tip-off from a vigilant reader of News Band, prompted an investigation by ABN TV. Further findings confirmed the shocking details of the crime, which had been buried for three years.

According to reports, Mrs. Agbubia admitted to committing the act and was immediately taken into police custody.
