The 26-year-old graduate, Iniobong “Hiny” Umoren who was killed in Uyo on Friday April 29, 2021 was today laid to rest amid tears from family and loved ones, ABN TV reports.
She was killed by a suspected serial rapist, Frank Uduak Ezekiel Akpan who later harvested her organs and buried her in a shallow grave.
The suspect who has since been arrested according to the police had made confessional statements in connection with the crime.
Frank Uduak Ezekiel Akpan had posed as a good Samaritan who would help the University of Uyo graduate secure a job while waiting for her NYSC call-up.
The orphan could not however make it back alive, leading to a manhunt on the suspect who is believed to be working with a cartel of organ harvesters.
