2026 WC: NFF Announces New Date For Super Eagles Vs Lesotho

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture between Nigeria and Lesotho will now be played on Thursday, November 16.

The matchday one encounter was earlier slated for Friday, November 17.

The encounter which will be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will kick off at 5 p.m. Nigeria time.

The Super Eagles will travel to Kigali four days later where they will keep a date with the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

The Squirrels of Benin Republic, Bafana Bafana of South Africa, and Bees of Rwanda are the other teams in the group.

The first-placed team in the group will earn a spot at the 2026 World Cup which will be hosted by USA, Mexico, and Canada.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the global soccer fiesta hosted by Qatar.
