2023: Sen. Emma Nwaka Joins Abia Guber Race, Promises To Run Transparent Administration (Photos, Video)

As the race for the 2023 governorship position in Abia gathers momentum, former lawmaker, Sen Emmanuel Chiedoziem Nwaka has officially declared his intention to succeed the incumbent governor Okezie Ikpeazu on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP with an assurance that he will run an inclusive government.

Sen. Nwaka made this known when he visited the PDP state secretariat in Umuahia.

He noted that his decision to join the race is borne out of his life journey which according to him has prepared him for the assignment, adding that the state will be safe in his hand.

He further emphasised that if elected, he would govern with sincerity of purpose and transparency, saying he is sufficiently equipped for the job.

The Amokwe Amiyi, isiukwuato born politician expressed gratitude to members of the party for the level of acceptability and support his aspiration has generated across the length and breadth of the state in his ward and local government respectively.

While urging the party to adopt him as its candidate, Sen. Nwaka promised to lead with humility and courage if elected as the nexh governor in 2023.

He further promised to abide by the decision of his party on whoever emerges its flagbearer, assuring that he would offer his support to the PDP candidate to ensure the party retains power in 2023.

The State chapter chairman Rt Honorable Asiforo Okere appreciated Emma Nwaka for taking the bold step to aspire for governor come 2023.

He also encouraged him to keep consulting and ignore the people that feel that the state can’t move forward without them.

He wished him well and also prayed that God will bless the party,its members and the aspiration of Emma Nwaka.
