2023: Peter Obi Has Revived Interest Of Many In Our Electoral System — Abaribe

Former Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has said since Peter Obi indicated interest to run for the number one office in Nigeria, he has rekindled the interest of many in Nigeria’s electoral system.

The Abia South Senator stated this at a town hall virtual meeting on Thursday night.

Sen. Abaribe said people are tired of the old system and they see Peter Obi as someone who will bring the fresh air they need.

The Labour Party stalwart while noting that it will be difficult to tell people not to vote for Peter Obi emphasised that the party’s presidential candidate has revolutionarised the Nigerian electoral system and he has managed to galvanize the interest of people not just in Igbo land but also across the nation.

He said Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State signposts the hope of a new Nigeria in the heart of many.

“People are fed up with the system, they want a breath of fresh air. They’ve seen Peter Obi as someone that will bring the fresh air. That is why they are rallying behind him,” he said.
