2023: Nothing Can Stop APGA From Occupying Abia Government House, We’re Prepared — Sir Udensi

A leading governorship aspirant in Abia under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Sir Chikwe Udensi has said nothing will stop the party from occupying office of the governor come 2023, noting that the party is more than ready and prepared to wrestle power from the ruling PDP.

The Interpol Systems Consultant while emphasising that APGA will take over governance effectively next year also said the manipulations that allegedly characterised previous governorship elections in the state will not be allowed to take place again.

At a meeting with ward and local government chairmen of the party in Umuahia on Wednesday, the governorship hopeful urged them to ensure that a competent and capable hand emerges as its candidate, noting that this is the only way the party can emerge victorious.

He therefore called on the party leaders to effectively mobilise their wards to participate in the ongoing voters registration exercise, assuring that APGA will soon begin a process that will ensure that residents of Aba transfer their voting points to where they live, adding that some of them registered in the market and their places of work which will be under lock on election day.

They say Aba doesn’t vote but there are some factors responsible for this. One of them is voter apathy, anger. Again, some of them registered in places where they cannot vote on election day.

“We are committed to checking those demographies. I am not implying that I am already the APGA governorship candidate but I am only saying that we must put our house in order. Let us put efforts to ensure that people are registered properly and that they register in the right location where they can vote,” he advised.

He reiterated the readiness of APGA to welcome new entrants into the party to boost its strength.

Sir Udensi further assured that he will offer his support to anyone who picks the party’s governorship ticket if he does not emerge victorious.

He solicited for the support of the local government and ward leaders in solidifying the support base of the party.
