The governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, has predicted that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, may prevail in the upcoming presidential election in his State.
In his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Thursday, the former governor of the central bank wished Obi well in his bid for the presidency.
Recall that Soludo had criticized Obi’s bid for the presidency a few months prior, claiming that Obi would not prevail in the February poll.
Soludo criticized Obi’s record as governor of Anambra State in an essay that figuratively set the internet on fire, emphasizing how little the LP candidate had accomplished there.

Soludo referred to the essay, saying, “In that piece, I even thought that Peter Obi may win in Anambra State. I did mention it,” he added, but he didn’t think the LP presidential candidate had a chance of winning the general election.
“I send Peter Obi my best wishes. Allow him to compete with others”.
