2023 General Election: All About Candidates Not Political Parties – Dalung

The general election of 2023 will be decided by the quality of the candidates, not their political affiliations, according to former minister of youth and sports development Solomon Dalung.

This was said on Tuesday in Jos by Dalung, who is also the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) candidate for the Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency.

According to the former minister, Nigerians are more politically conscious than in the past, and their considerations in the current political climate center on the qualifications of candidates rather than their political parties.

“Don’t let yourself be fooled; Nigerians will choose individuals, not parties.

“In 2023, there will be a rainbow coalition, and because it put an end to apartheid, it was the rainbow coalition that saved South Africa.

“With their votes in 2023, Nigerians will create a rainbow coalition that will put an end to these political failures and political gangsters and lay the groundwork for a new country.

He described it as “a nation where people from diverse political perspectives, ideologies, faiths, and ethnicities will come together and establish a better society for Nigeria.”

The former minister claimed that the only means by which he might win the general election of 2023 was by performing as an elected official.

“For a candidate who has never been elected before, his reputation, honesty, and prior accomplishments will offer him an advantage.

“What has been accomplished over that time will matter more than how long a politician has been in office,” he said.
