It is no longer news that the 2023 General elections is fast approaching and all the major political parties are working hard to ensure their candidates come out victorious during the poll.
A party Chieftain of the ruling party, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe is of the opinion that Peter Obi of labour party has got more time to adequately prepare himself before going for the presidential seat.
Okelekwe who is a major stakeholder of APC in the South-East region told Vanguard Newspaper in an exclusive interview that Obi should learn from Asiwaju Tinubu on how to build structures and understand the political structure before contesting. He said it is too early for Obi to contest because the presidency is not something one can achieve overnight.
“Presidency is something that one needs time to arrange and prepare. Asiwaju for instance has been on this for sometime. It didn’t just happen overnight.” Vanguard Newspaper Quoted Okelekwe as saying.
“I believe that Peter Obi has gone a long way giving LP the major momentum. However, voting on election day is quite another.”
