All Progressives Congress in Cross River State has picked Senator Bassey Otu as its gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 general elections.
The party announced Otu’s emergence in a statement on Tuesday.
The former Senator, who represented the Southern Senatorial District, emerged through consensus in an exercise held at the Transcorp Hilton hotel in Abuja on Monday.
The exercise, which involved 17 aspirants, was presided over by the state leader of the party and governor, Ben Ayade.
Others in attendance were the state chairman of the party, Alphonsus Eba, state executives, and party stakeholders.
