2022 AFCON Draws: Super Eagles Must Avoid Ivory Coast, Egypt – Gernot Rohr

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr says he does not want Nigeria to be in the same group with Egypt or Ivory Coast in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations draws.

Rohr stated this in an interview with ‘The Nation’, where he noted that none of the six seeded teams would wish to have either of both countries.

Recall that the draws for AFCON will take place today in Yaounde Conference Centre in Cameroon.

Nigeria is one of the six seeded teams, including hosts Cameroon, defending champions Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia and Morocco.

“I have had good conversations also with my colleagues,” Rohr said.
