1999 Constitution Review: Your Submissions Will Be Given Adequate Attention — Senator Kalu Assures Ndigbo [VIDEO]

The chairman sub-committee on 1999 Constitution Review for Imo and Abia states and Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has said the two states raised 48 submissions for review in the just concluded public hearing ahead of the proposed constitution review, ABN TV reports.

Speaking shortly after the exercise which took place May 26-27 in Owerri, Imo State, Senator Kalu expressed gratitude for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.

He said the 48 submissions by different stakeholders in the two South-East states will be given adequate consideration.

The former Abia State who kept mum on his submission is insisted that as the sub-committee chairman, he will make his position known on the floor of the Senate.

He assured Ohanaeze Ndigbo and all other civil society organisations who took part in the exercise that their submissions as collated will play a pivotal role in enriching the proposed 1999 Constitution amendment.
