15 Players Already In Super Eagles Camp, More Stars Expected In Uyo [See List]

The Super Eagles’ training camp in Uyo is already buzzing with activity as 15 players have reported for duty ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming international engagements.

ABN TV reports that the team captain William Troost-Ekong of Al Kholood led the early arrivals on Monday, alongside Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiakos), goalkeeper Amas Obasogie (Tanzania-based), and defender Felix Agu (Werder Bremen).

The camp witnessed a further boost on Tuesday with the arrivals of key midfielders Wilfred Ndidi (Besiktas), Frank Onyeka (Brentford), and Alex Iwobi (Fulham). They were joined by defenders Calvin Bassey (Fulham), Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Birmingham City), Benjamin Frederick (Brentford), and Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes).

Also in camp are forwards Moses Simon (Paris FC) and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Lazio), while goalkeeping options were further bolstered with the arrival of Adebayo Adeleye (Volos).

With 15 players already settled, more are expected in the coming days, including Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, former AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, and Chrisantus Uche, among others.

The team is scheduled to intensify preparations this week as head coach Eric Chelle looks to assemble his full squad for the crucial fixtures.
