Security Agents Block Court Premises As Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Resumes

Security agents around the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday blocked all roads leading to the court premises making it almost impossible for people to have easy access, ABN TV reports.

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is expected to appear in court before Justice Binta Nyako today to resume the 15-count charge leveled against him by the Nigerian government.

Reports gathered by this newspaper revealed that security agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police have barricaded roads to tighten security at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

A source around the court said: “All roads leading to the court premises have been barricaded by armed security officers. People including vehicles are restricted access round the court premises.”

Kanu’s trial days always witness a large security presence. This is not surprising, as the separatist leader has massive following both home and abroad.
