Mben Political Assembly, MPA, has congratulated Dr. Chidia Maduekwe on his Reappointment as Managing Director of Nigerian Film Corporation by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dr. Maduekwe’s Reappointment for a second term in office, effective March 31, this year, was announced by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in Abuja on January 18.
MPA, which is the political think tank of the Ohafia clan in Abia State, described Dr. Maduekwe as an illustrious son of the community and one whose background, competence, and patriotism for Nigeria, earned him the reappointment.

“Ohafia has a rich tradition and culture that are exported to the world, one of which is the legendary Ohafia War Dance. It is therefore not out of place that one of its own is providing leadership for the Nigerian film industry” Dr. Lucas Eme Onuh, President of the MPA said in a press statement.
“Abia State and Nigeria should look forward to more quality service from Ohafia sons and daughters come 2023,” Onuh said in the statement signed by the organization’s Director of Publicity, Chief Emele Onu.
MPA, it will be recalled is committed to good governance in Abia State. The body is campaigning for the emergence of a Governor of Ohafia extraction to lead Abia State in 2023, a move that is already enjoying widespread support across the state. The MPA Board of Trustees is headed by Nigerian former finance minister, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu.
