The federal government has assured the people of Arochukwu, Ohafia, and Isuikwuato LGAs all in Abia State and neighbouring communities of steady power supply anytime from 2021.
The Minister of Power, Engr. Saleh Mamman gave this assurance on Friday shortly after inspecting power transmission station projects started by former governor of the state, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu in 1999.
ABN TV gathered that subsequent governments did not complete the project, making it impossible for millions of Naira already sunk in the project to touch the lives of people of the state.
Speaking with newsmen, the Minister said the project is one of the most important transmission stations across the country that have the capacity to boost power supply.

He also called for the support of the community to make the reactivation process easier.
ABN TV reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently charged ministers to move round the country to identify abandoned projects within their areas of supervision and bring them back to life for the benefit of all Nigerians.
