The Abia State government has directed seven private schools in Aba to immediately visit the committee on Re-validation of private schools in Ministry of Education Umuahia, for proper documentation effective from the date of this announcement.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to Abia State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem made available to ABN TV, the affected schools will be shut down if this instruction is not heeded to.
The affected schools are
1. Divine Base Academy, 68 Adindu road
2. 1st Class International School, 98 Adindu Road
3. God’s Miracle Academy, 10 Nkwoha street
4. God’s Compliment Academy, 5 Ohiara off Nkwoha street
5. Seed of Faith Schools, 106 Nkwoha street
6. Favour Christian Academy, 9 Durulor off Adindu road
7. St. Martin Early Learning Center, Adindu road.
The state government has recently started a total overhaul in the primary education with a focus on the activities of private school owners who operate in environments not conducive enough for academic activities.
