Arsenal are reportedly considering a sensational late move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they continue to explore attacking options before the transfer window closes.
The Gunners have endured a difficult summer in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements, having missed out on Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr, while potential moves for Julian Alvarez and Bradley Barcola are also appearing increasingly difficult to complete.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Galatasaray, has emerged as a potential alternative as Arsenal look to strengthen their forward line.
The Nigeria international enjoyed a prolific spell in Turkey last season and remains one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.
Arsenal are also working on defensive reinforcements and reportedly want to sign Aston Villa and England defender Ezri Konsa before the deadline.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s main priority remains the signing of a new left-back, although Newcastle are reluctant to sell their key target, Lewis Hall. Michael Carrick’s side could also look to strengthen in midfield and attack.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are continuing negotiations for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. However, the Reds are reportedly unwilling to meet PSG’s £145 million asking price.
The Premier League clubs are therefore expected to remain active in the final stages of the transfer window as they seek to complete their respective squads.
