The All Progressives Congress in the Delta Central Senatorial District has endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone, and all other candidates of the party for the 2027 general elections.
This is at the minister of aviation and aerospace development, Festus Keyamo, who urged all party members to remain steadfast and work for the victory of the party’s candidates at all levels, including that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The endorsement was announced in a statement on Monday by the chief press secretary to the Delta State governor, Festus Ahon, following the Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ Strategic Meeting held at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre, Effurun.
According to the statement, party leaders, stakeholders, and members unanimously backed the candidates while also calling for unity and intensified grassroots mobilization ahead of the polls.
“The endorsement came during the Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ Strategic Meeting held at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Conference Center, Effurun.
“Moving the motion for the endorsement, which was seconded by Hon. Halims Agoda, the party’s founding leader, Chief O’tega Emerhor, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their policies and programs, which he said were impacting Nigerians and Deltans positively.
“The motion was subsequently put to a voice vote by the Delta State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, and was unanimously adopted,” the statement read.
Speaking at the meeting, Arenyeka said the stakeholders’ meetings across the state’s three senatorial districts were initiated after the State Working Committee reviewed party activities and resolved to strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
He described the Delta Central gathering as proof that the strategy was yielding results, noting that the caliber of personalities in attendance reflected growing unity within the party.
Arenyeka also commended Governor Oborevwori for what he described as sustained efforts to reconcile aggrieved members and strengthen party structures across Delta State.
He welcomed defectors from other political parties, assuring them of equal opportunities and full integration into the APC.
Earlier, the APC Chairman in Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, said Oborevwori’s emergence as the party’s governorship candidate reflected the confidence reposed in his leadership and performance.
