House of Assembly aspirant for Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Hon. Alex Chibuikem, has commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) for conducting what he described as a credible and transparent primary election in the constituency.
Speaking shortly after the conclusion of the primary exercise, Chibuikem expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, noting that the results declared in the field were subsequently upheld at the party secretariat.
According to him, the process reflected the party leadership’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and internal democracy.
“I feel very happy because we conducted a very credible and transparent primary election. The results were declared in the field, we won, and on getting to the secretariat, the results were also upheld,” he stated.
The APC aspirant further praised party members and supporters for their participation and peaceful conduct throughout the exercise.
He assured his supporters that the successful completion of the primary election marked only the beginning of the political journey toward the 2027 general election.
“We are done with the first step, and now we are prepared and ready to march into the final election, and we are going to come out victorious,” Chibuikem declared.
Reacting to questions on whether he truly considered the primary election transparent, the aspirant maintained that the process was open and credible because the people’s choice prevailed.
“It is absolutely transparent because we won in the field. The crowd was there and the people voted for their candidate,” he added.
Chibuikem also extended a hand of fellowship to other aspirants who participated in the contest, stressing that the focus should now shift toward unity and collective victory for the APC in the general election.
“I wouldn’t say they lost because it was a contest. What is important now is that we work together as a team and win the general election,” he said.
The APC primary election in Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency was part of the party’s ongoing preparations ahead of the 2027 elections in Abia State.
