Supporters of Rt. Hon. Chukwudi Apugo have described him as the best choice to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia North And South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, citing his legislative experience, grassroots connection, and capacity to attract development.
In a statement promoting his aspiration, Apugo was described as a tested lawmaker, community builder, and loyal son of the soil who understands the needs of the people across Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South.
The statement noted that having previously served in the Abia State House of Assembly, Apugo possesses the legislative experience required to engage effectively in lawmaking, budget oversight, and constituency advocacy at the National Assembly.
It further maintained that his strength lies in his grassroots presence and accessibility, saying he has remained close to the people and has continued to build relationships across communities.
According to the statement, Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency requires a representative who can attract tangible development in areas such as roads, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and job creation.
It also highlighted Apugo’s leadership style as inclusive, stating that he has shown capacity to work with youths, women, elders, traditional institutions, and political stakeholders in pursuit of common development goals.
As a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Apugo was said to be aligned with the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda while keeping the interest of his constituents at the centre of his political ambition.
The statement added that the constituency needs a voice that can speak with authority in Abuja and act with humility at home, insisting that Apugo has the pedigree, track record, and vision to move Ikwuano/Umuahia forward.
