The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise across the country.
In a statement posted on X on Wednesday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the exercise would take place in all wards and designated locations nationwide.
The APC urged both existing and prospective members to take advantage of the process.
“As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” the statement read.
The party added that eligibility for registration is restricted to adults with valid identification.
“Registrants must be 18 years or older and must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN),” it stated.
According to the APC, the exercise is part of efforts to modernise its internal processes and improve data management.
“The e-registration exercise is designed to digitize the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” the statement added.
The development marks a continuation of the party’s efforts to adopt digital systems in managing its membership database ahead of future political activities.
