The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has paid a strategic visit to elder statesman and former Governor of Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, in Enugu, where both leaders held discussions on national issues and the future of Nigeria.
Senator Kalu described the meeting as an opportunity to reconnect with a respected mentor and also deliberate on matters affecting the country’s political and economic direction.
Speaking after the meeting, the former Abia State governor said their conversation focused on the welfare of the elder statesman, as well as broader national concerns and the collective responsibility of leaders in building a stronger Nigeria.
“Today, I had the privilege of visiting my dear friend and mentor, former governor of Anambra State Senator Jim Nwobodo, in Enugu. Our discussions focused on his welfare, the state of our nation, and the path forward for Nigeria,” Kalu said.
The senator also used the opportunity to canvass continued support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the President’s vision is aimed at fostering national unity, economic growth, and long-term stability for the country.
According to Kalu, Nigeria requires sustained collaboration among political leaders, elders, and stakeholders across regions to overcome its current challenges and unlock its development potential.
He emphasized that the experience and guidance of elder statesmen like Jim Nwobodo remain valuable in shaping national discourse and promoting political stability.
