An All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and Diaspora Director of the Tinubu Support Group, Dr. Mrs. Martina Ononiwu, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the party in Abia State following the successful conduct of the 2026 state congress.
In a press statement issued to journalists, Dr. Ononiwu described the congress as peaceful and well-organized, expressing satisfaction with the process that produced Chief Chijioke Chukwu as the new APC State Chairman alongside other executive members at the state, local government and ward levels.
She commended party members for their commitment to strengthening the party’s internal democratic processes and noted that the emergence of the new leadership signals renewed momentum for the APC in Abia State.
“I warmly congratulate all the newly elected State, Local Government and Ward Executives who have emerged from the congresses held so far with a renewed mandate to strengthen our internal political system and ensure overall victory for our party, the APC,” she said.
Dr. Ononiwu emphasized that strong party administration remains the foundation for electoral success, adding that a solid party structure inspires confidence among members and supporters.
While expressing confidence in the leadership capacity of the new State Chairman, Chief Chijioke Chukwu, she stated that his leadership would guide the party toward greater unity and electoral success.
The internationally renowned technology expert and AI consultant also commended the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for what she described as his stabilizing and unifying role throughout the congress process.
According to her, Kalu’s engagement with stakeholders helped ensure consultations, consensus and harmony among party members, thereby preventing conflicts and strengthening internal cohesion within the party.
Dr. Ononiwu further called on members of the APC across Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency to intensify grassroots mobilization and work collectively to expand the party’s support base ahead of future elections.
She urged party faithful at the ward level to remain committed to promoting the APC and preparing for the political tasks ahead to ensure maximum electoral success for the party.
