The Youth Leader of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organisation in Zamfara State, Bashir Isa Gusau, has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits, throwing his family and associates into panic.
The incident was revealed on Thursday by a security analyst known as Bakatsine, who shared details of the abduction on social media. According to him, more than 30 heavily armed men invaded Gusau’s residence in Gusau town and whisked him away in the presence of his wife.
Bakatsine said that security agencies were immediately alerted, but efforts to track the victim’s whereabouts have so far yielded no results. He expressed concern over the recurring wave of violent attacks and kidnappings in Zamfara, lamenting the lack of swift response from security operatives.
“Gunmen suspected to be bandits abducted Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, North-West Youth Leader of Tinubu/Shettima, Zamfara Chapter. Over 30 armed men stormed his home in Gusau and abducted him in the presence of his wife. Security agencies were alerted, but there has been no trace of him yet. How long will these bandit attacks continue?” he wrote.
