The Minister of Livestock Development, Mr Idi Maiha, has pledged to collaborate with the Edo State Ministry of Livestock Development to transform its entire livestock value chain into a regional hub for red meat, poultry, piggery, goats, and cattle.
This comes on the heels of the minister’s promise to assist the state in rehabilitating its cattle ranches in Igarra and Ubiaja, as he concludes an on-the-spot visit to the state in the first quarter of 2026.
Maiha made the disclosure after a presentation by the Edo State Commissioner for Livestock Development, Prof Omorodion Ikpomwosa, during a recent meeting in his office in Abuja.
