Bellingham and Foden Return as Tuchel Names England Squad for Final World Cup Qualifiers

Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden have been recalled to the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of the final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania.

Having already secured qualification for next year’s tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States with two games to spare, England will conclude their Group K campaign with a home fixture against Serbia at Wembley next Thursday, followed by a trip to Albania three days later.

Bellingham, the Real Madrid midfielder, returns after missing October’s matches as he recovered from shoulder surgery. Foden, meanwhile, makes his first appearance in Tuchel’s setup since the manager’s debut camp in March.

Among the new faces, Bournemouth’s Alex Scott is the standout inclusion in the 25-man squad, joined by fellow uncapped talents Nico O’Reilly and Jarell Quansah.

There are also recalls for Adam Wharton and Nick Pope, while Morgan Gibbs-White, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Myles Lewis-Skelly, James Trafford, and Ollie Watkins drop out from the previous selection.

Tuchel has chosen not to recall Jack Grealish, currently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, and Trent Alexander-Arnold remains sidelined due to injury concerns.

England booked their place at the 2026 World Cup last month with a 5-0 victory over Latvia in Riga, capping off a dominant qualifying campaign.
