2027: Prophet Arogun Warns Governor Otti May Lose To Mascot Kalu if He Doesn’t Change Party

The General Overseer of Light of the World International Church, Prophet Joshua Arogun, has issued a spiritual warning that Governor Alex Otti may become a one-term governor unless he changes his political party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a Wednesday ministerial service in Lagos, Prophet Arogun revealed that the rising political strength of Mascot Uzor Kalu, who recently declared his governorship ambition under the All Progressives Congress (APC), could pose a serious threat to Governor Otti’s re-election bid.

“The incumbent Governor is popular, but his current party will disappoint him,” the cleric declared. “If he must win, he must change his party and avoid running against Mascot Kalu. Otherwise, he will face the biggest embarrassment of his political career.”

Arogun emphasized that his prophecy is not driven by emotions or bias, but by divine revelation. He warned that there is a “silent majority” preparing to vote overwhelmingly for Mascot Uzor Kalu in what could become a major upset in the Abia political space.

“Power belongs to God. I see Mascot Uzor Kalu attracting a large support base. There is massive preparation going on underground. The people are planning to take back their state,” he said.

Backing the same spiritual sentiment, renowned prophet and head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, also declared that the 2027 election would be “very tough” for Governor Alex Otti if Mascot Uzor Kalu decides to run.

“If Mascot Uzor Kalu comes out, it’s going to be tough for Governor Otti. It’s all about strategy, not incumbency. If Mascot knows his way, he can defeat him,” Ayodele said during a separate prophetic session.

Both clerics emphasized that while Governor Otti retains some popularity, the strength of Mascot Uzor Kalu’s name and growing grassroots momentum could shift the political balance in 2027.

On a broader note, Prophet Arogun also addressed the ongoing global conversation surrounding Christian persecution in Nigeria, following the U.S. designation of the country as a nation of concern.

“Christians in the North have suffered enough. But God hasn’t forgotten His people. He may allow it for a season, but it won’t last forever,” he said.

He added that President Bola Tinubu was divinely positioned to lead Nigeria during this period, stating that the country would have suffered greatly if someone else had emerged.

“Tinubu will win again. God gave it to him,” Arogun prophesied.

Concluding his message, Prophet Joshua Arogun offered prayers for Nigeria, its leaders, and all political aspirants. He asked for divine wisdom to guide the nation and called for peaceful elections guided by God’s will.
