Tinubu Appoints Five New Permanent Secretaries To Strengthen Federal Civil Service

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies in the Federal Civil Service, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in public administration.

The new appointees are:

1. Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi – Federal Capital Territory

2. Ezemama John Chidiebere – Imo State

3. Garba Abdul Sule Usman – North Central Geo-Political Zone

4. Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku – North East Geo-Political Zone

5. Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu – South East Geo-Political Zone

According to a statement from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process aimed at ensuring that only the most qualified and competent officers are elevated to serve at the highest level of the Civil Service.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, congratulated the new Permanent Secretaries and lauded President Tinubu for his “unwavering commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and professionalism” in the Civil Service.

She noted that the new appointments underscore the administration’s focus on building a results-driven and efficient bureaucracy capable of meeting the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.

“These appointments reflect the administration’s dedication to fostering a competent and results-oriented Public Service that delivers effectively to the Nigerian people,” Walson-Jack stated.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are expected to assume duty immediately in their respective portfolios.
