The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, has assured Abia workers that all pending issues relating to promotions, leave allowances, and gratuities are being handled holistically by a high-level committee set up by the state government.

Speaking while addressing journalists alongside the Commissioner for Information, Ekeoma explained that the committee includes the Head of Service, Accountant General, Commissioner for Finance, and Attorney General, among others.
He said the Otti administration is committed to ensuring fairness and transparency in resolving salary disparities across various local government areas.

Ekeoma urged workers to provide verifiable evidence of any salary inconsistencies to enable the government to investigate and harmonize payment structures across the board.

He also addressed the issue of absentee teachers, warning that the government will no longer tolerate those who refuse postings to rural areas, stressing that Governor Otti’s reforms aim to restore discipline and efficiency within the education system.
