2027: “Onye Rụọ, Orie!” (Work Hard, Eat Well) — Mascot Unveils Slogan Of Service

Bringing a spiritual tone to his political ambition, Sir Mascot Uzor-Kalu stated during his declaration that his 2027 campaign is rooted in faith and divine purpose.

Quoting Saint Teresa of Avila, Mascot underscored that patience, trust in God, and unwavering resolve will guide his journey to Government House.

“Our project is anchored on God. Patience obtains all things. Whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices,” he declared, drawing applause from supporters.

He unveiled the campaign slogan:
“Onye rụọ, orie! Arutu uzu, arutu afọ!!”
(He who works, eats. When the barn is full, the stomach is full.)

Mascot concluded by calling on Abians to rise together in unity, saying his vision is not a solo ambition but a collective mission for a greater, stronger, and more prosperous Abia.
