Nigerian Army Recover Rifles, Magazines, Charms, Military In Taraba Border Village (Photos)

Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have intensified their efforts to curb criminality and restore peace in Taraba State with a successful cordon-and-search operation conducted on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Ikyaior village in Wukari Local Government Area.

The operation was launched following credible intelligence that one Mr. Terhemen Nzagha, also known as “Full Fire”, was allegedly harbouring suspected armed criminals at Sabon-Gida Leke, Ikyaior village, situated along the Benue–Taraba border.

Upon storming the location, the troops thoroughly combed the area but found no suspects. However, they recovered several arms-related items and materials believed to be linked to criminal groups terrorising the region.

According to the Army, the items seized included:

Five Special Forces face caps

Three AK-47 magazines

Three FN rifle magazines

Three rifle slings

Two FN rifle breech blocks and slides

One AK-47 firing mechanism

Two FN rifle stocks

Two FN rifle springs

One mini-telescopic sight

One AK-47 rifle butt

One FN rifle bag

One badminton bag

Two charms

One flashlight

Military authorities have described the operation as a major step in dismantling illegal arms networks across border communities. They reaffirmed their commitment to sustain intelligence-led operations to rid Taraba and neighbouring states of criminal activities.
