Hon. Ojisi Iro Ugbaja has declared strong support for the re-election of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to the Senate in 2027, insisting that the former Abia governor remains the most formidable political figure in the Abia North Senatorial District.

Appearing on ABN TV’s Political Perspective, Ugbaja, who doubles as the State Chairman of the OUK Movement, likened the APC’s strategy to football, saying: “There is no coach that changes a winning team in the middle of the game. OUK is our first eleven.”

He described Senator Kalu as the “face of APC in Abia State” and a consistent performer whose presence continues to strengthen the party’s base across the five LGAs of Abia North.

Ugbaja also recalled Kalu’s victory in the 2023 general elections, noting that the senator’s re-election came at a time when many political heavyweights lost their seats due to what he described as a “political tsunami.”

“If Senator Kalu could survive 2023, then 2027 is carry go,” he affirmed, predicting a stronger showing for the APC in the next electoral cycle.

He added that grassroots organizations like the OUK Movement and Reality Organization remain the backbone of the party’s dominance in the region.
