The Anambra State governor, Chukwuma Soludo, on Saturday, cast his vote in the ongoing senatorial bye-elections for the Anambra South Senatorial District, at his polling unit, Ofiyi Square, 002, Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.
While speaking with journalists after voting, Soludo hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission for its preparedness to ensure the success of the election.
The governor said that he was impressed that electoral materials arrived early.
Soludo explained, “I have just exercised my franchise. I am quite impressed with the conduct of the election. There is also an impressive turnout. Everybody is going about voting peacefully.
“I want to thank INEC for being on top of their game as usual. Basically, everything is going well. No rancour, no fighting.”

The governor also accused the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate of beating the Commissioner for Environment, Felix Odimegwu, with thugs in Ezinifite in Nnewi South Local Government Area.
