Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has indicated that striker Nicolas Jackson could leave the club during the ongoing summer transfer window, stating that “anything can happen.”
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, and shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Maresca acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding Jackson’s future, particularly following Chelsea’s recent acquisition of two new strikers.
“During the window, anything can happen. That’s also the case for Nico Jackson. We signed two strikers… let’s see,” Maresca said, leaving Jackson’s Stamford Bridge status open-ended.
Jackson’s position at Chelsea has been under scrutiny as speculation grows amid the club’s transfer activity, with the manager’s remarks adding further momentum to rumors about his possible departure.
In other news, Maresca confirmed an injury setback in the squad, revealing that defender Levi Colwill is currently sidelined with an unspecified issue.
“We had a problem the last two days about Levi Colwill. We don’t know how long he will be out for. Hopefully not too long. It’s a problem,” he said.
