The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for school candidates.

In an announcement posted on Monday, August 4, via its official X account (formerly Twitter), the council confirmed that candidates who took the exam can now access their results online.

To check your result, visit the WAEC result portal at http://waecdirect.org. WAEC advises candidates to have their result-checking e-PIN and examination number ready.

Steps to Check Results Online:

  1. Enter your 10-digit WAEC examination number.
    (This is your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789).

    • For exams before 1999, use the 8-digit format (5-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number).

  2. Enter the 4-digit examination year (e.g., 2025).

  3. Select the type of examination.

  4. Enter your e-PIN voucher number.

  5. Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN.

  6. Click “Submit” and wait for your result to be displayed.

You can also check your WASSCE result through SMS by sending a message in the format below:

Note: Make sure the message format is exact—no spaces.
