No Governor Can Stand Against Tinubu In 2027 – Gov. Uba Sani Declares

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu enjoys unmatched support from governors across the country, making it almost impossible for any sitting governor to oppose his re-election bid in 2027.

Governor Sani made the assertion while speaking at the opening of a two-day interactive session aimed at enhancing engagement between government and citizens. The event, organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF), was held at the historic Arewa House in Kaduna.

The governor, who praised President Tinubu’s leadership style, emphasized the president’s consistent support for governors and sub-national administrations.

According to him, “No president in Nigeria’s history has supported governors and sub-national governments the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing. As a result, it is unlikely that any governor in Nigeria would go against the president.”

He further commended Tinubu’s inclusive approach to governance, particularly in addressing the challenges facing Northern Nigeria.

“For the first time in Nigeria’s history, the government is engaging with non-state actors to discuss progress and assess the situation in northern Nigeria,” Governor Sani noted. “This unprecedented approach reflects a shift in how national issues are being addressed.”

The governor’s remarks come amid growing political discussions around the 2027 general elections, with President Tinubu expected to seek a second term in office.

The interactive session continues on Tuesday, bringing together key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for fostering transparency, trust, and citizen participation in governance.
