PDP Sets Date For 101st NEC Meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the dates for its 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

A statement posted on the party’s official X handle and signed by National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba on Tuesday confirmed that the meeting will take place on Wednesday, 23rd; Thursday, 24th; and Friday, 25th July 2025 at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

“Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party are hereby reminded of the scheduled 101st NEC meeting earlier summoned to hold as follows: Wednesday, 23rd; Thursday, 24th; and Friday, 25th July, 2025,” the statement read.

According to the statement, the NEC comprises the national chairman; serving and former presidents and vice presidents of Nigeria who are party members; the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT); all other BoT members; principal officers of the Senate who belong to the party and up to 18 serving senators across the country; principal officers of the House of Representatives and up to 24 serving members of the House who are party members; all state governors who belong to the party; all national officers (members of the National Working Committee, NWC) and their deputies; and all state chairmen.

Other NEC members include six ex-officio members: all former National Working Committee members who remain in the party; former principal officers of the National Assembly produced by the party who are still members; and all former state governors produced by the party who continue to hold membership.
