Ali Bukar Dalori has officially assumed the role of acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje.
Speaking to the party’s National Working Committee on Monday, Dalori accepted the position with “humility, responsibility, and loyalty,” noting that his appointment came in line with Ganduje’s resignation and the directive of President Bola Tinubu.
“We recognize the invaluable contributions Dr. Ganduje made during his time in office,” Dalori said. “Since August 2023, he has provided experienced leadership and a clear direction for our party. We wish him a full recovery as he focuses on his health.”
Dalori pledged to lead the APC with transparency, unity, and inclusiveness, emphasizing that his new role is not a personal victory but a collective responsibility.
“This is a time for consolidation, not conflict; maturity, not division; vision, not ambition,” he added.
Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Dalori called for the strengthening of the party’s internal structures and deeper engagement with the grassroots.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to President Tinubu and endorsed the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, calling it a strategic path to addressing national challenges in security, the economy, and unity.
“The APC remains the vehicle for national transformation, and we stand firmly with the president,” he concluded.
