Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to the Southeast region, declaring that the President has shown unprecedented goodwill to Ndigbo in less than two years in office.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Abia State Chapter of Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) in Bende on Sunday, Kalu said it was disingenuous for anyone to claim that President Tinubu does not care about the Southeast.
“Let nobody lie to you that Tinubu does not love us,” Kalu said. “He has given us the Chief of Naval Staff, the Minister of Works, the Deputy Speaker, and approved the South East Development Commission.”
He described the event as an opportunity to correct long-standing political narratives and reconnect the Southeast with the center of power.
“This is a clarion call to my people. Mr. President is not asking for blind loyalty — he is asking for partnership built on trust and performance,” Kalu added.
The lawmaker urged Southeast residents not to fall for divisive political propaganda but to align with the vision of inclusiveness and national development championed by President Tinubu.
