60 Terrorists Neutralized By Nigerian Army Troops In Coordinated Operation

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully neutralized at least 60 terrorists in a decisive land and air assault in Bita, Borno State, on Friday morning.

The Nigerian Army made the announcement in a brief statement posted on its official Facebook page.

According to the statement, the operation, which took place in the early hours of Friday, was a coordinated effort between the army’s land and air forces, targeting terrorist positions in the area. The fierce battle, described as intense, resulted in the death of the insurgents, marking a significant blow to terrorist activities in the northern region.

“The gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a simultaneous land and air assault on terrorist positions in Bita, Borno State, in the early hours of today. The intense battle resulted in the neutralization of at least 60 terrorists,” the statement read.

This successful operation follows a string of victories by the Nigerian military against insurgent groups, with several Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists killed earlier this week during an engagement in the New Marte area of Marte Local Government in Borno State.

While the military continues to make progress against these terror groups, two Nigerian soldiers tragically lost their lives in the most recent encounter, underscoring the sacrifices made by the armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to combating insurgency and restoring peace in the northeastern region of the country.
